2024 edition WinGPS 6: Update available

WinGPS 6-2024 has just received a final important update. This update includes optimizations for the settings of the 2025 inland waterway charts and the addition of the NL tidal data for 2025 (available for Pro, Voyager en Inland users).

Do you have the 2024 edition of WinGPS 6? You can download the update now via the News Center in WinGPS.

If you have a Premium Subscription, you will automatically receive the 2025 edition of WinGPS 6 in the spring. Would you like to practice, plan, or even navigate in the meantime but don’t have the 2024 edition of WinGPS 6? Please feel free to contact us.
NL-tidal data in WinGPS 5/6 Pro, Voyager and Inland
2023 and older

Do you have WinGPS 5 or 6 Pro, Voyager, or Inland from 2023 or earlier? Upgrade to the 2025 edition and take advantage of the latest features! This upgrade provides you with up-to-date tidal and current data for the Dutch coast, as well as the newest version of WinGPS 6 for Windows.

You can upgrade Pro or Voyager by subscribing to the Premium Subscription or purchasing the upgrade separately. See the tables below for more information.

NL-tidal data in Marine Plus -  Android

When starting your WinGPS Marine Plus for Android, you will receive a notification about a new update. This is the updated tidal and current data for 2025.

Once you’ve downloaded the update, you can view the data on the map and use it for planning your routes.

If you don’t see the data yet, check the Meteo & Tides menu to ensure the NL tidal data for currents and tides are enabled.

DKW UK1 English & Scottish East Coast -  Incl. North Sea crossing chart

This chart set is specially designed for North Sea sailors and England sailors and fits seamlessly with the DKW 1800 series. Both series share the same bright colours: deep water is shown in white and very shallow water in light green, which provides a clear display. See the image below for an example.

Important updates to the depth image and buoyage have been implemented, including at Immingham and Hull, as well as in the rivers Humber, Ouse and Trent.

This chart covers the Atlantic coast of France, Spain and Portugal up to Gibraltar. incl. the Canary Islands and the Azores. The chart fits perfectly with the DKW ID20, ID30 and ID50.

The most important changes have taken place in the Canary Islands and the Azores.

    

DKW 100 -  Imray 
This chart covers the eastern Caribbean Sea, including the islands of the Virgin Islands up to and including Tobago. This chart is compatible with NOAA's free map of Puerto Rico.

The most important changes have occurred at the islands of Anguilla, St. Barthélemy and Sint Maarten.

Is your navigation system up to date for your last-minute trips? Always check:


1. Hardware: think about checking your laptop battery and running Windows updates after any winter break. Test your USB GPS receiver before you leave, as well as your AIS and any other on-board equipment.

 

2. Charts: Do you have all the up-to-date charts for your journeys on board? This will prevent you from getting stuck and increase your safety during unexpected fog or storms.

  

 

3. WinGPS: is your WinGPS version still to your liking? The DKW charts can be used in the different WinGPS versions simultaneously. View our overview of WinGPS versions and think about how you can optimally set up your navigation on board. This way you have the best overview and always the right navigation information at hand.


4. Service: Are you having trouble with WinGPS navigation? Our specialized team will be happy to help you. Our helpdesk department can be quite busy from time to time during the sailing season. In order to help you as best as possible, we have redesigned the service in recent years, including the Service Subscription. This allows you to use our service for free, use WhatsApp and request a callback.
