Major update KNMI-Harmonie - Very accurate weather forecasts

With the extended versions of WinGPS you have been able to download very accurate weather forecasts for several years thanks to the KNMI Harmonie model. This model covers Dutch waters, including the waters from the Channel to the German Bight.

Last week, the KNMI implemented a major update to the Harmonie model, which offers you the following benefits:

  • Improved accuracy: The weather model has been optimized, making the predictions even more accurate.
  • More detailed GRIB files: The files are now 25% more detailed, resulting in more precise predictions for each location.
  • Extended forecasts: You can now view weather forecasts several hours further ahead.
  • More frequent updates: You can now update the GRIB files more often, from 4 times a day to 24 times a day (every hour instead of every 6 hours). This is ideal for the variable weather this season.

The KNMI Harmonie model can be directly used in WinGPS Pro, WinGPS Voyager, and WinGPS Inland for Windows, and in WinGPS Marine Plus for Android.
