1. Hardware: think about checking your laptop battery and running Windows updates after any winter break. Test your USB GPS receiver before you leave, as well as your AIS and any other on-board equipment.

2. Charts: Do you have all the up-to-date charts for your journeys on board? This will prevent you from getting stuck and increase your safety during unexpected fog or storms.

  

3. WinGPS: is your WinGPS version still to your liking? The DKW charts can be used in the different WinGPS versions simultaneously.
