Good news for German Bight sailors! From now on our popular DKW German Bight will be updated weekly. Just like our DKW1800 series, we now have a license to weekly process the 'Nachrichten Für Seefahrer' (NfS) of the BSH. This used to be only once a year.
After requests from several WinGPS users, we have decided to publish these important updates weekly, since this area is subject to a lot of changes.
The edge of the chart shows which updates have been processed. The number 5/15 means that the update came in effect in week 5 of 2015. Because the BSH does not place temporary notices on the charts, like the 1800 does, several notices from years ago have also been processed.
The DKW German Bight is already available in 2015 edition and ties in with the DKW1812. The chart covers the area from Just to Kiel, Hamburg, Helgoland and the Danish border.
If you have already purchased the 2015 edition of the DKW German Bight, you will see an update message in the News Center every week.
